They are NOT used for past tense. 

1. Use of “Do”

Use “do” with these subjects:

➡️ I, You, We, They

 Examples :

                      I do my homework every day.

                       You do a great job.

❓ In Questions:

                            Do I know you?

                            Do you speak English?

❌ In Negative:

Use “does” with these subjects:
